Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) is celebrating its upcoming centennial by inviting photo submissions for a calendar. The utility is seeking captivating images that showcase the beauty and significance of water in Upstate South Carolina. Your submission has the potential to be featured in our special edition calendar, commemorating a century of community, growth and natural splendor.

Submission Criteria:

Theme: "Waterways of the Upstate" is the theme of this year's calendar. Images capturing the essence of water in various forms, including, but not limited to rivers, lakes, waterfalls, rain, reflections and ReWa's water structures are encouraged.

Location: All submitted photographs must be taken within the five counties ReWa serves: Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens and Laurens.

Quality: High-resolution images that are clear, sharp and visually appealing should be submitted. Submissions must be in JPEG or PNG formats with a minimum resolution of 3000 pixels and in landscape orientation.

Originality: Original and creative interpretations of the theme are encouraged. Submissions should reflect your unique perspective and artistic vision.

Content: Submissions may include landscapes, close-ups, abstract compositions or any other artistic interpretation related to water. However, please ensure that all images are suitable for public viewing and free from offensive or inappropriate content.

Number of Entries: Each participant may submit up to three photographs for consideration.

Submission Process:

Online Submission: All entries must be submitted electronically through this webpage. Submissions via email or physical mail will not be accepted.

Submission Form: Please complete the submission form provided at the bottom of this page. Include your name, email address, phone number and a brief description of each photograph, including the location where it was taken.

Image Upload: Upload your photographs directly to the submission form. Ensure that each image file is properly labeled with your name, a brief title or description.

Deadline: Aug. 13, 2024 is the deadline for submissions. Late entries will not be considered.

Selection Process:

Judging Panel: A team of ReWa employees will serve as judges and review all submissions.

Criteria: Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, composition, technical quality, adherence to the theme and overall impact.

Notification: Selected contributors will be notified via email. If your photograph is chosen for inclusion in the calendar, you will be required to provide a high-resolution version of the image for printing.

Usage Rights:

Copyright: By submitting your photographs, you retain the copyright to your work. However, you grant ReWa non-exclusive rights to use your images for the purpose of producing and promoting the Centennial Calendar.

Attribution: Whenever your photograph is used by ReWa, you will be credited as the photographer.

Usage Restrictions: ReWa will not sell or distribute your images to third parties without your consent. Your photographs will only be used in connection with promoting the calendar and related activities.
