ReWa’s Conestee Force Main and Pump Station Upgrade Project will close southbound lanes of Fairforest Way through mid May

Renewable Water Resources’ (ReWa) Conestee Sewer Improvements Project will close both southbound lanes of Fairforest Way near the intersection with Wenwood Road beginning Monday, April 13. Closure is anticipated until mid-May. Commuters in the area should expect delays and are encouraged to find alternative travel routes during this time.

ReWa is working with our contractor, Moorhead Construction, to ensure the safety of motorists, residents and crews on the project. Although lanes will be closed at all times, work will only take place during the day. Moorhead is ensuring that adequate signage direct traffic to the northbound lanes, which will carry both directions of traffic. As of Dec. 22, 2025, the Pelzer and West Pelzer sewer improvement projects remain on schedule. More than 4,174 linear feet of new sewer installation has been completed, with 38 out of 93 service laterals and 29 out of 63 manholes successfully installed. Additionally, 17 out of 18 point repairs have been completed. The bore-and-jack under the railroad near Courtney Street has been completed. In the next few weeks, sewer installations will continue on Allen and Ramsey streets. Also, there will be some traffic control on Courtney Street between Lebby and Burts streets. These projects are funded by a $10 million federal grant distributed through the South Carolina Infrastructure Investment Program.
