Joel’s passion preserved historic buildings, transforming them into spaces for education, research, and community engagement—all while protecting green space and honoring ReWa’s legacy. Joel’s legacy lives on through this campus, a place where history and innovation come together to serve the community for generations to come.

REEDY RIVER GATE HOUSE & SECURITY OFFICES

Originally 1940s grit and grease removal buildings, remodeled in 2021 and 2024, these spaces have housed ReWa staff and partner non-profit organizations.

WATER DISCOVERY LAB

A state-of-the-art laboratory offering interactive exhibits on wastewater infrastructure, community tours, and insights into ReWa’s history. Also home to lab personnel and regulatory services staff.

WELLNESS BUILDING

Built in 1930 as a chlorination facility, now serving as an employee wellness clinic.

HISTORIC MEETING SPACE

A 1928 influent lift station, repurposed in 2025 as a meeting room for the Board of Commissioners and community events.

OPERATIONS & TRAINING

Originally a 1940 Chemical and Power Building, this space now hosts training, offices, and events. Renovated in 2021, it received the 2022 Associated Builders and Contractors Merit Award.
