Henderson appointed to ReWa Board of Commissioners

GREENVILLE—Phyllis Henderson, an experienced local leader who previously served as both a state representative and chair of Greenville County Council, has been appointed to serve on the Board of the Commissioners for Renewable Water Resources (ReWa).

Henderson currently serves as Development Specialist at Roper Mountain Science Center. Prior to joining ReWa’s Board of Commissioners, Henderson served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018, representing the eastside of Greenville County.

During her tenure in the Legislature, she chaired the Healthcare Subcommittee of the Legislative Oversight Committee, and co-chaired the House Opioid Abuse Prevention Study Committee.

In addition to her service on Greenville County Council, Henderson was also Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce and was also a member of the Greenville County Planning Commission.

Henderson holds a master’s in public administration from Indiana University and a political science degree from the University of Cincinnati. She began her four-year term on the board in March.
