Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) experienced a sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) following heavy rains between Feb. 11 and Feb. 13. This event has not impacted ReWa’s ability to provide sewer service.

Proper notifications have been made to appropriate regulatory authorities, including the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES).

ReWa teams are addressing and monitoring this site, which is near the intersection of Flower Drive and West Castle Road. The SSO was reported at 7:20 a.m. on Feb. 13. It ended at 10:08 a.m. Samples are being collected from Brushy Creek for laboratory analysis. ReWa will continue to post updates regarding progress and new details as they become available.
