New Account Fees

As of January 1, 2013, ReWa will only accept checks or cashier’s check for payment of the New Account Fee. All checks should be made payable to Renewable Water Resources.

New Account Fee Explanation

The new account fee is a one time charge implemented as a means of covering the costs related to system capacity needs. This process helps to mitigate the need for existing customers to pay for system expansions entirely through increased user rates.

ReWa bases its new account fee on the size of the water meter being installed (excluding irrigation and fire flow meters). Since wastewater flow is generally a direct function of water flow, correlating the wastewater new account fee to the size of the water meter is equitable and administratively efficient.
