Preserving Water Quality

Our state-of-the-art laboratory facility offers a community gathering space, interactive modules on the importance of wastewater infrastructure and a unique look at the rich history of ReWa. The design of the laboratory features large windows which provide a unique educational opportunity by allowing visitors to see the staff in action.

We welcome students, local officials and community members to take a tour of the ReWa facilities and discover just how much of an impact wastewater infrastructure has on shaping quality of life in our community.

We’re proud to maintain nine Water Resource Recovery Facilities (WRRFs) that treat the wastewater collected from our more than 350 miles of pipe and introduce clean water back into our rivers and streams.

Pet waste is not something people typically think of as pollution, but discarded pet waste often gets washed by rain into rivers, lakes, and streams causing an increase of nitrogen, phosphorus, parasites, and fecal bacteria to water bodies.

ReWa is making great strides in tackling the problem of waterway pollution by implementing innovative solutions, such as the Bandalong™ Litter Trap. This state-of-the-art trash-trapping system is a powerful tool for keeping local waterways litter free and healthy.
